  • Why Swim team?

To learn strokes, fitness, to be part of a team, or my mom makes me. Everyone's "why" is different.

  • Why buy a heat sheet?

The heat sheet has the event(s) your child is in, the heat and the lane. Sometimes there may be only one heat in an event, sometimes ten. You can write your child's event number, heat number and lane on their hand, for instant access. You can also keep up with friend/friend's children and when they swim. Remember, this is a team, and all kids like to be cheered on.

  • What equipment do I need?

Swim suit, cap, goggles, fins, water bottle, towel, and sometimes water guns and floats.

  • What should I eat and drink during a swim meet?

Some people think pizza! SORRY, that is only for when you have finished swimming for the day. Fruit, juice, water, power bar, Gatorade, and sometimes even a kiss from Mom will make you swim faster.

  • Why do we pay money to U.S.S.?

United States Swimming sanctions the swim meets and also provides insurance coverage for the swimmers.

  • Where do I get a team suit and flippers?

Augusta Swim Supply 706-738-0072 or 1-888-799-SWIM

Make sure you tell them you are with Bobcat Aquatics in Milledgeville so you get the team discount.
