Since
the TVA began releasing water down the sections of the Ocoee River above
Lake Ocoee, many rafting vendors have sprung up along Hiway 64 approaching
Lake Ocoee. Check out the links to some of these groups on the left side
of this page.

For
many years Lake Ocoee was a barren lake as a result of the sulphuric runoff
from the Copperhill area so few thought of this area when planning fishing
trips. However, a world-class fly-fishing area on the Hiwassee River is
